Over the past 10 years, Harford Family House has doubled the number of families and individuals we support–but we couldn’t have done it without the support of our amazing community.
Now, as we once again prepare to expand to serve even more families, we need your help more than ever. With Maryland seeing the third highest increase in homelessness of any state in the country and with Harford Co. Public Schools reporting 649 students who don’t have a permanent address, the need is urgent.
Your financial support at any level can be the difference between a family sleeping in their car, on the streets or couch surfing OR sleeping in a warm bed, safe from the elements.
This year is especially meaningful as we prepare for not one, but two important expansion projects specifically designed to provide short-term and emergency shelter for families. This milestone means more parents and children will have a safe place to stay together during moments of crisis.

• At our Belcamp Emergency Shelter, a new wing will feature four suites for families plus an additional dorm that can house an additional eight females – more than doubling our capacity for women.
• At our Aberdeen location, we are converting former office space into apartments to provide short-term housing for an additional 10 families.
With your gift of any amount, you can make an immediate impact and give families the support they need to get back on their feet and on the road to independence.
