Harford Family House’s Emergency Shelter in Belcamp offers safe, temporary housing and personalized support for individuals experiencing homelessness. Through compassionate care and dedicated case management, we help residents build a path toward permanent housing, self-sufficiency, and a brighter future.

Our Program is a structured, short-term program designed to help individuals move quickly from homelessness to stability. Residents participate in a 90-day program living in a congregate setting that promotes accountability, dignity, and mutual respect. Our shelter currently includes a 26-bed men’s dorm and an 8-bed women’s dorm, paired with intensive case management focused on housing, employment, and long-term independence. Meals are prepared and served by volunteers daily.
Harford Family House is proud to announce a major expansion of our Belcamp Emergency Shelter. This is an important and compassionate step forward for Harford County. For the first time in our history, the shelter will welcome families experiencing homelessness, providing safe emergency housing for up to four families at a time.

This expansion will also add eight new beds for women, ensuring more individuals have access to safety, stability, and support when they need it most.
