Honoring the Heart of Our Mission: Volunteer Appreciation Breakfast

Yesterday morning, we had the privilege of gathering at Rockfield Manor for our annual Volunteer Appreciation Breakfast, a special time set aside to celebrate the incredible individuals and groups who pour their time, talent, and compassion into Harford Family House every single day.
This event was about more than awards; it was about recognizing the culmination of countless hours of service and the quiet, behind-the-scenes work that makes our mission possible. At Harford Family House, volunteers mean the world to us. Without your help, an apartment doesn’t become a home, food doesn’t become a meal, and residents do not become program graduates. What makes our organization truly exceptional is the collective selflessness of everyone who shows up, works hard, and stands with our neighbors facing homelessness.
Last year alone, thanks to the dedication of our volunteers and partners, we recorded 8,273 volunteer hours, the equivalent of 344 days of manpower. Those hours translated into real, life-changing impact: 10,784 nights of shelter provided, 334 residents served, and 17,000 meals shared. Behind every number is a moment of hope, stability, and dignity created for someone navigating uncertain times.
We were also proud to recognize outstanding volunteers and partners whose commitment went above and beyond:
