Single parents or couples with at least one child under the age of 18 who are experiencing homelessness and who have one family member with a diagnosed disability are eligible for Harford Family House’s Supportive Housing Program.
This program provides families temporary stable housing in one of our off-site units as they work to attain permanent stable housing and a better life. This may take longer than a year and look differently because of the increased barriers families with disabilities face. Families can remain in the program
Each family in our Supportive Housing Program is assigned a case manager to work with them on individual goals which may include: obtaining disability benefits; applying for subsidized housing programs; participating in supported work programs; and stabilizing their medical and/or mental health needs.
