Harford Family House Emergency Shelter provides 32 beds in a congregate setting for individuals who are experiencing homelessness. This includes 6 beds for women and 26 beds for men. As with most of our programs, referrals come from the Harford Community Action Agency. Living conditions are dorm style with shared community room and bathrooms. Meals are prepared and served by volunteers daily. Residents are able to stay up to 90 days and are offered case management services to include individualized action plans, assistance with job searches and housing searches, life skills workshops and referrals to other services within the community.
