Harford Family House has ongoing opportunities to fit any schedule in many areas of the organization. Whether you want to do something on your own, with your family or as a company or group, we have a need for your talents!

For All Ages/Groups
- Organize a supply drive for items on our Amazon Wishlist or HFH Supply List
- Write “Feel Good Friday” cards of encouragement to our residents
- Fill welcome baskets or snack bags for residents
- Help sort donations and organize our supply area
- Organize a gift card drive
For Adult Individuals (18+)
- Serve on an HFH fundraising event planning committee or as an ambassador at an event
- Help pick up donations
- Donate your professional services
- Serve as a mentor for a young adult
- Participate in facility care and upkeep by painting, landscaping, or helping with minor repairs
- Help clean and set up an apartment for an incoming family
- Offer to assist with or share your talents supporting our client programs
For Companies, Corporations, Faith-Based and Civic Organizations
- Prepare a meal at the HFH Emergency Shelter or host a resident activity/game night
- Plan a “day of service” for your group
- Schedule a tour of either or both Harford Family House shelter locations for you and your colleagues.
- Help beautify our facilities by gardening
For Youth and Students (Ages 11-17 with adult supervision)
- Help clean and set up an apartment for an incoming family
- Host a craft table or game at one of our client holiday events
- Sponsor a school supply drive
- Plan a volunteer day with your sports team or school organization
- Help clean our programming space
- Organize our food pantry
