My son and I became homeless immediately following his birth ten years ago. Desperately in need of help, we were blessed to be placed into Anna’s House, an emergency shelter for women and children where we stayed for a short while. When it was time to leave Anna’s House, we transitioned to our new apartment at Harford Family House. I’ve struggled over the years with drug addiction, legal issues and a lack of family support and at times I felt like all hope was lost. But, through Harford Family House’s wonderful support, love and guidance my son and I truly blossomed. Thanks to Harford Family House my family and I have been living independently in our own townhome for five years. Life is still challenging, but with the skills and self-esteem I was able to develop at the organization I know I am poised for success and all things are possible.
The folks at Harford Family House will also be my family and my gratitude for their help is neverending. Much love to you all!
